Head of U.S. Infrastructure Debt

Sergio Figueroa Sanz is Head of U.S. Infrastructure Debt at Fiera Capital. He is responsible for leading the firm’s U.S. infrastructure debt activities, including the origination, structuring, execution and management of infrastructure debt investments across the U.S. market. He plays a key role in the growth of Fiera’s North American infrastructure debt platform and strengthening relationships with sponsors, borrowers, advisors and institutional investors.  

Sergio brings more than 20 years of experience in infrastructure and energy finance, with deep expertise across renewable energy, power, transportation and broader infrastructure sectors. Prior to joining Fiera Capital, he served as Managing Director, Energy Finance at First Citizens Bank, where he co-led the origination, structuring and execution of energy and infrastructure financing transactions across the United States. Sergio previously held senior roles at NORD/LB and Crédit Agricole CIB, building extensive expertise in project finance, structured credit, capital markets and infrastructure investing. Earlier in his career, he worked in credit and economic analysis roles at Syncora Guarantee and Standard & Poor’s.  

Sergio holds a Master of Public Administration from Columbia University’s School of International and Public Affairs and a bachelor’s degree in Economics from Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México.
